| Objective
The telecom industry is being transformed as computing, digital device, and Internet technologies change the manner in which information and content are networked to deliver new services and applications. Competition is heating up, not just between facility-based service providers, but also from a new breed of service providers that build their businesses on top of the broadband wireline and wireless infrastructure. The objective of the 2006 EDP Program is to examine the challenges and opportunities that result from these emerging technologies and architectures. The 2006 EDP Program will include the highly acclaimed "CTO Forum", where the technical leaders of the Canadian industry present their views on this important topic. A new addition to the EDP Program is the "VC/Startup Forum" where investors and entrepeneurs provide their perspectives on the future.
The EDP program leverages the strengths of the University and its Industry Partners by featuring lectures from leading academics, industry experts, and top executives. The program is also structured to provide ample opportunities to work and network with other participants from various areas of the industry.
