Industry Involvement
In order to stay current and relevant to the industry, the MET program collaborates with the telecommunications and networking industry in several ways:
- The MET has established an Advisory Board with representatives from all facets of the industry to provide advice on program content and to facilitate interaction with the industry.
- The MET program offers an Executive Development Program (EDP) short course directed at executives and senior managers. The EDP brings experts from industry, government and academia to discuss and exchange views on the crucial issues in the industry.
- The themes developed in each EDP program form the basis for in depth case studies in the MET program the following year. EDP alumni and MET alumni are invited to special presentations where students present the results of their case studies.
- The MET program formulates Projects with industry that are undertaken by teams of students during the summer.
- A Certificate in Networking offers individuals working in the industry an opportunity to update their skills and competencies.
Companies interested in becoming MET sponsors should contact the Director of the MET program.
