Admission, Fees, and Financial Support
The MET program is a special interdisciplinary program within the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. A dedicated admission committee examines applications for the MET program according to the objectives of the MET program. A different committee examines applications to the other ECE graduate programs. For this reason, admission into the MET program will not guarantee automatic transfer into any other degree program in this Department, before
or after registration.

Admission Requirements
For admission to the MET program, applicants must hold the equivalent of a University of Toronto four-year Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer
Engineering. The general application requirement is a grade equivalent to

than the minimum mid-B standing, and will have appropriate workplace experience.
Provided additional pre-requisite coursework is met (see below), students
may also be admitted from degrees in the following areas:
- Computer
Science
- Mechanical
Engineering
- Industrial
Engineering
- Mathematics
- Physics
A
pre-admission interview and qualifying exam may be required at the discretion
of the MET Admissions Committee.
