Our Vision

Personal computers, wireless communication and the Internet have set in motion a chain reaction that has destabilized established network architectures and opened the door for dramatic change. We are currently undergoing a transition to a completely new networking paradigm that is emerging from a confusing array of competing technologies, standards, business models and network and service visions. The Master of Engineering in Telecommunications (MET) is a unique graduate degree program designed to prepare telecommunications and networking professionals to be leaders in this environment.

About the MET Program

  • A Master's degree awarded by one of the top ten Electrical and Computer Engineering Departments in North America.
  • An opportunity to receive intense exposure to industry issues and to combine classroom learning with hands-on experience through a significant project with industry.

The MET program offers our industry partners:

  • Early access to highly-prepared telecom and networking graduates, through industry lectures and industry projects.
  • Opportunity to participate in shaping the MET program content to ensure it meets the future requirements of the industry workforce.
  • A forum to network and collaborate with other industry executives to promote cooperation for the benefit of Canada.
